A Music Together® Class Is...

Weekly 45-minute classes include songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play. Songbook and cds are included, along with streaming access and additional online content.

A Music Together class is sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement activities in a playful, non-performance oriented setting. Music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that are fun for children and easy for parents and caregivers- regardless of their own musical ability.

Music Together is based on the idea that:

  1. All children are musical.
  2. All children can learn to have Basic Music Competence when their early years include a strong musical foundation.
  3. Children learn best from their parents and primary caregivers.
  4. Children learn best in an age-appropriate setting.
Mixed Age

Mixed Age classes: (birth thru 5 years): Educators have long considered mixed age groupings to be beneficial, and the Music Together® program is designed with this in mind. Activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child interaction, so children of different ages (siblings, for example) can enjoy classes together. You will receive a new collection of music for every session that you attend. (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer).
